                              Edit Workshop Evaluation

1) How did You use 180 degree rule, rule of thirds & match on action?- In this exercise I had to film a clip containing three vital rules 180 degree, rule of thirds & match on action. As a group I believe that we did not include rule of thirds and we had poor use of the 180 rule. In any sort of film making it is essential that you have an imaginary line called the axis. The importance of the axis is, that it allows the two characters’ to connect by keeping the camera on the same side. When filming the beginning and the ending we used match on action

2) What challenges did you face during production?
-
In production I believe that my group managed to work well with each other. If i could change anything in editing it would have to be the beginning, the beginning was a bit rough and could do with a smoother transition. It needs to be smoother in order to look better and appeal to audiences.

3) The main challenges i faced during editing? - When first editing I found it difficult to handle due to the new software that was being introduced it was hard to grasp at first. The editing was hard to do because my group lacked continuity in certain clips causing drastic changes and a lot of re-shoots

4) What are the overall strength of your work? Why?     - I think that my work was strong in terms of match on action; the MOA's that were used were well executed.  I believe that this is strength because it flowed so nicely that it looked like natural movement.

5) What are overall weaknesses of your work? Why? -  I believe that I struggled when it came down to post production. The software was a new thing for me and it took longer for me to fully understand its use.

6) What overall improvements would you make to your work? Why?
As a group I believe that we could of constructed are clips better and be more affective with continuity to make sure that it was a better piece of work. If we followed instruction more and added a little more creativity I honestly think that are work would be a good thing in the future.
